START Taranaki now cater for Wahine with our Mana Wahine programme funded by the Toi Foundation.

Our tailor-made programmes are for at risk wahine from the Taranaki community and cater and offer a range of mentoring options. We have the capacity to mentor each group for up to a year to ensure we provide as much wraparound support as possible.

We have open referrals for this programme and two isolation intakes per year (January and June). If your wahine begins her mentoring after January or June, their isolation will take place at the next available intake. This is where our entire staff base take the wahine out to our Rabbit Point shelter to spend time in nature learning new skills and being a part of new and challenging experiences.

We have a passionate and driven team in the early intervention space who are dedicated to providing the best experience for all rangatahi engaged with START Taranaki.
